To perform nuclear reactor safety analysis related to accidental conditions that can lead to severe accidents it’s necessary to perform some experiments before that. QUENCH-06 is exactly that kind of experiment. It is related with the consequences that can arise from severe accidents and subsequent water injection in LightWater Reactors. The main goal of the present paper is to compare measured by the QUENCH-06 experiment and calculated by the RELAP/SCDAPSIM/MOD3.5 temperatures of twelve rods and shroud at different elevations of the test bundle.
